Chef Marcus Bennett's journey began in the kitchens of Paris, where he trained under some of the world's most renowned chefs. After earning his stripes at Michelin-starred establishments in France, London, and New York, he returned home with a singular vision — to create a restaurant that combines European elegance with the warmth of Western hospitality.

A firm believer in farm-to-table philosophy, Chef Marcus works directly with local farmers, ranchers, and fishermen to source the finest seasonal ingredients. His cooking style honors classic French techniques while embracing bold, contemporary flavors that surprise and delight.

2015

The Beginning

Chef Marcus Bennett opens The Golden Grill as a 40-seat bistro in the historic downtown district. The restaurant sells out every night within the first month.

2017

First Accolade

The Golden Grill receives its first "Best New Restaurant" award from the City Dining Guide. Our waitlist grows to over three weeks.

2019

Major Expansion

We triple our capacity by acquiring the adjacent building, adding a private dining room, a chef's table experience, and an outdoor terrace.

Michelin Recognition

James Beard Nomination
